Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
You Aussies make me jealous with your "no rust" vehicles...I can't actually find any 2nd gen Camrys in my town with no rust anymore. *sad*

You gotta rent a car carrier and come down to the west coast
Also thats a clean wagon, it looks like the same color as my 89 pickup, and can somebody load a container with some of those bumpers and ship them over to the US ....they look soooo much better than our park bench ones
yer the first thing i noticed about the American models was the bumpers im definatly not a fan of them hehe, as for the rust, my car does have a rust patch on the roof but it should be an easy fix plus its in desprate need of a respray.
That's the first RHD 2nd gen Wagon I've seen. I don't think I've seen a 2nd gen in that color either.
Well in down here in Aus every car is RHD lol and the colour is pretty common too, the black ones that youve got look sweet, ive never seen a black 2nd gen til on here.

I actually owned a black 2nd gen - 1988 LE 4-door - until 6 years ago. It was nice, but it wasn't a very popular 2nd gen color as I rarely saw other black Camrys. Popular colors in the U.S. for the 2nd gen were white, light blue, maroon to name a few.
The interior on my old car was maroon, which I hated.

pop colours down here are definatly red and white mainly but you do see other colours like blue, maroon and silver some are also re-badged under our no.1 car maker as a Holden Apollo instead of Toyota Camry.
woooooooo go marto. good to see u got ur camwags on here. she goes pretty well she can kinda keep up with my sv21 cant wait to get stuck into ur mods with ya
also im just wondering if anyone can tell me about the 1.8ltr motor or tell me where i could go to find out more about it?
Does your motor look like this?
If you want to try to make this engine put out more power, forget about it. It's made for economy, not for performance. Enjoy it for what it is.
Another possibility is that it maybe a 4S-Fi. I can't find a pic on the web though. It made the same amount of power as the 1S-Ci, so don't get too excited.

that's the one. sv20 1.8 has the 1S-Ci engine in it.
nice wagon mate, i wouldn't go putting a body kit on it though, not unless you get the car completely straight. i can see a huge gap there between the driver's door and the front guard.
