wiper issue.

many years back, snow was set on top of windshield. i pulled the wiper operating handle, the wiper blade couldn't move, so i pushed off the snow by hands.

after that, i couldn't "pull" the wiper handle to just do the single swipe. but rest of the function works fine; all 3 speeds r fine, and also the wiper fluid.

oh.. accept that when i "pull" the wiper handle, the wiper stops while in motion... lol. it's funny and useless feature now.

anyway, i just wanted to know if there is a simple fix for it. it doesn't bother me w/ driving but just was curious.

including this forum, i find these type of online fourms very convenient. just wanted to say thx.

Seems just like my truck--though it is slowly wearing out on mine. It used to be one quick pull would wipe, but every year its getting a little worse. Now I have to hold it down for at least 2 seconds or else it will hang up about 30 degrees above where they rest.

It might be an internal problem in the wiper switch. Just like power window switches get sticky in 80's-90's toyotas and you have to take them apart and clean the contacts. I don't recommend taking the wiper arm assy. apart tho...
