Need to transmission!!!

So I have a 1990 4cyl DX toyota camry and it's an automatic.

I have been wanting to do a transmission swap for a long time and now that I have the money I would like to do the swap.

I need to know a few things first ...

What parts do I need??
How much will the parts cost? (estimate)
How much for labor? (estimate)

Any help or advice is GREATLY appreciated and if there are any good toyota mechanics that will do a swap let me know ASAP

Thanks

For a quote on the transmission, check www.car-part.com and sort for florida. You'll probably find a transmission for $200-$300 somewhere close to you.

As for parts, you'll probably only need the replacement transmission--your mechanic will just re-use everything else from your car.

As for labor quotes, you'll have to make some phone calls. I seem to remember the book time for tranny swap being around 6 hours, but I'm not sure on that one anymore...

Um, yeah...mentioning the auto-manual thing would have saved me wasting time posting a reply.

Well, if atobe has already sent you a PM with all the info you need, you should be fine. He knows what he's talking about.
