Japan Herro Chapanese Cah lovahs

Hi I am Drew..

I have an 87 mitsu turbo starion
and an 88 black auto 4 banger camry

and neither one runs....

anyway hi

I'll be asking stupid questions about this new (to me) 88 camry

needs a fuel pump to acheive forward motion...
(much easier than the head swap needed in my mitsu)

any tips on the fuel pump?

also ponder that the passing gear has been disconnected?
(as in ftw wth would you do that?)
and I have a broken thingy.... lol it is silver with a blue dual vacum line connection at the top the top vac line connection is broken right off.

any way as said before
Herro!

welcome to the ToyotaNation...sounds like one of the sensors on your water inlet is broken (you mentioned dual vacuum lines). Just get another one at a u-pull-it scrap yard for like $5.

With the fuel pump, unfortunately it means the tank must drop. Depending on where the car has spent its life (salty roads or desert dry), be prepared to replace the sending unit and most of the fuel lines while you're at it... once you start taking it apart, things like to crumble.

yepper that's where it is!
it's on the water inlet.

I started pulling the tank and found that the ebrake line and exhaust heat shiel are in the way..

so basically the whole backend has to come apart?
that sucks.

oh and the sway bar is broken, lol
never ever seen broken sway bar before... lol

previous owner was a crack head!

Man I don't even know how hard you'd have to hit a curb (or other random object) to actually break a stabilizer bar. Crack head is right...
