replacing dash board light.

88 camry w/ no tachometer.

so in order to replace the light bulb, i need to get behind the dash board right? so do i have to take apart the whole dash board gauge?

if so, do i just go around the find and undo the screws?

and how about the lights for climate control? does it have separate bulb for it?

You just need to remove the dash around the instrument panel, undo a few screws holding the gauges in the dash. and the whole thing pops out. I just changed all of my bulbs today as I only had one left. I coloured them red and now my gauges are a nice red colour, which is better than the greenish-yellow it was before.

sorry to bring this old thread but I had a quick question.

I still can't get mine to light up. (Replaced gauge fuse, dash bulbs, checked wiring/ground/relay.. and it all seems fine).

But now I found out that there's a separate fuse that goes to the dash controls, that actually turns the dash lights on. I guess the gauge fuse I replaced was just for it's illumination/function.. and that one was already working fine.

Does anybody know which one it is exactly, in the fuse box? any insight/help is appreciated. thanks.
