fixed oil leak and replaced t-belt
i finished up the timing belt replacement on my 91 2.0...it wasnt that bad of a job for someone thats never done one on a front wheel drive car...the factory repair instructions are the greatest...very clear pix and description...the major oil leak was solved and was due to the speghetti rubber seal[8.00]..i was thrilled the oil pan didnt have to be removed!!.i went cheap on the overall repair by replacing only the t-belt/alternator and p/s belts and oil pump seal...i inspected the other seals/idler parts and all were decent shape...i slightly advanced the initial timing and slightly raised the idle rpms and the car is really nice to drive with a very smooth idle now...i'll buy a new cap/rotor/wirs/plugs/fuel filter and let the engine be for the next 100,000 miles!!
