I was installing my injectors. and after I bolted down my rail I noticed the injectors wherent snug. in fact that have a 1/4 inch play up and down. I think Im missing the insulators from the block (it has the grommet and o ring on pipe side) anybody got a pic of the properly seated injectors so Ill know what im looking for? thanks -mike

You need to have o-rings on the cylinder head side of the injectors as well as the fuel rail side. I noticed the o-rings stayed in the cylinder head on both 3S-FE motors I've taken apart.

My next question is Does anybody have a map of where the fuel lines run? I have the FSM. but it just says to reconect the various pipes (it names them but doesnt say where they go) also I must be imagining things but the electrical pack (that long insulated pack of wires that runs next to fuel pipe and conects to the injectors) it has 3 plugs 1 black (pretty sure thats to cold start) and 2 white connecters (fuel inector connecters) I should have 2 more on there somewhere.

There are only three fuel lines: the supply line that goes to the fuel filter, the high pressure return line that goes to a metal hose near the charcoal canister and a small line going from the fuel rail to the cold start injector.

This is a picture of my new motor that does not have the fittings for a cold-start injector:

I am afraid I don't have any good pictures of the wiring harness and how it connects to the injectors, but yes, you should have four injector connections along with the cold start injector plug.

The following pictures may or may not help:

I was out working on him. I found the other connectors and got the injectors pluged in ( i hope I got the right plug to the right injector. I went by lengeth of cord and position. I have the cold start line installed. so I need to install the fuel line from the metal pipe near canister to the rail? and fuel filter huh? thankyou for the pics. They might come in handy with all the vacuum lines. I think if I only have 2 hoses in fuel left the rest must be vac hoses. ok got the HP return line to the metal hose attached. I got the cold start already so now I need that last hose, and I need to find some more bolts. I really wish EPC gave me sizes in addition to part numbers.

Hold on, make sure you are not confusing fuel return line with tank vapor line that goes to the charcoal canister, as they are really close to each other!!

Yes, do not confuse these.

The small fuel line coming off the fuel rail is the high pressure fuel return line.

I didnt disconect the pipe from the metal pipe when I pulled the manifold. it kept spiting fuel at me (days after I had disconected it) so I remember that hose well. Im confident its on its proper place.

PICTURES!

ok this last one is bad. I reached for the 02 to reinstall it and the wire snaped in my hand. I wasnt pulling it or twisting it so I guess it didnt snap. it more like crumbled. the wire was toast. well it is toast. but im not sure what to do. it broke on the engine side of the connector to the o2. I would install a new connector (I know electronics) but Im worried the old wire will break elsewhere. I would prefer to rerun a new wire. but I dont know if thats really pheasable. doesnt o-2 go strait to ecu?
