1989 V6 drivesahft removal

I'm biting the bullet and finally getting round to doing my CV joints tommorrow. My main concern is that my hub puller won't be big enough (I've heard V6 ones are pretty mahoosive). Will a 6 inch diamter puller be big enough?

Seriously. Unbolt the ball joint, axle nut and inner axle bolts (the hex-head guys) and pop the axle out. There is nothing to pull. You might need to tap the axle about of the hub with a hammer, but no puller is needed. With the right tools, it takes 1-2 hours working and a reasonable pace.
