Driver's door rattling

My driver's door on my '90 Camry LE rattles nearly all of the time when I am driving or stopped at a light or anything. It sounds like something inside the door is rattling around. How would I go about taking the inside panel off of the door so I can look inside for anything loose? Has anybody else had this problem? It is really annoying.

Yup, once I started messing around with the door it just rattles all the time now. There's two screws near the door hinge, one underneath the arm rest, one on the handle itself (pry off the cover), and the obvious one in the center of the door latch. Once those are out, the panel is held on by clips so you might want to use the special tool for those or something. When I recklessly pulled mines, I snapped a bunch of them. I just used the thick foam tape to put behind those bars behind the panel itself and it helped some.

I'm going to try taking the panel off of the door this weekend. The repair manual I have for my car recommends prying the clips away from the door with a taped-up screwdriver, so I'll try that. Do you know if you can buy more of the clips anywhere? I think I may have a few broken ones.

Run a search on this forum and on the 3/4 forum. There are several posts with pictures on this. Include "master switch" and you'll hit mine on the 3/4 forum.

the clips dont really cause rattling. i find its the case that holds the wire to the master switch, an the power cables to the power window motor. just tape them down. theres actually 4 screws holding it on my 88 camry le. dont worry about the clips, you just need like half of them, but if you were wondering, there is 2 on the outer edge, 1 on inner, and 4 on the bottom.

I fixed the rattling in my driver's door by taping the wires, but every time I hit a bump, the door still squeaks. I'm not sure if it is rubbing against the door frame when I hit a bumb, or what if it is something inside the door or what. Does anyone else have this problem?
