2Gen Engine options, questions..

Ok, so I'm looking at buying a '91 Camry that has a bad engine (internal knock).. I don't have any intent on rebuilding the engine, i would rather swap it out for a used JDM motor.

Will the 92-95 engines (3sfe) fit or will it require motor mount modification? Sellers' on ebay have them listed as different motors for the cars and imply that they are not the same. I'm assuming that it will physically fit, but are there any issues with the electronics or anything?

The sad part is I live in Japan now, but will be moving to the states and it will cost more to ship one engine than I could buy one for in the states. I might bring the ecu and map sensor and try ditching the flow meter.. Anyone ever do this?

Yes, the engines (3S) come in just about every Toyota ever made here. I can get one for about $100, but shipping is the problem. It will cost at least $1,200 to ship just one engine.

If the block is less than 70lbs, i can mail it via usps ground for $40.. But I'm afraid that it's too heavy. Anyone know the weight of a bare block?

Is the water pipes/ hoses all the same? I've read somewhere about 6 and 8 bolt cranks?

Does anyone even try and read my posts???

Yes, I do live in Japan, the engines that I can get here are about $100 give or take a few bucks. However, the shipping of 1 engine would cost more than $1,000 $$ so that is not an option.

My main question is will the 92-96 (3d gen) engine fit the 2nd gen (my '91 Camry) that is in the states. I'm leaving Japan, buying a 2nd gen and will drive while I go to school.
