'90 V6 question(s)

Aloha!

I bought a used Camry and have a question I was hoping someone could help me with.

A friend told me I need to replace the fan sensor. The problem is my fan does not go on when needed. Is this the right part?

Any help is appreciated

Pat

You could also try the fan relay. They tend to crap-out.

couple of things. test the fan directly by powering it directly. if it comes on, fan is good, and problem my lie in ciruit. if the circuit, it is eirther the coolant temp sensor (rarely die) or relay/fuse. most likely it is the fan motor itself. is car overheating in idle?
