suspension question

stupid suspension question, but coilovers are a replacement for springs, and i will still need to buy struts right?

if 1 is true, then if i'm broke and cheap, I should just get struts and springs instead of coilovers.

if 2 is true, then would cheapo monroe struts from canadian tire work?

coilovers replaces both your strut and springs...it's rare that the spring goes bad... so you should just replace your struts.. but there isn't any coilovers for the gen2 that you can buy though

ah. thought celica 1990 coilovers fit. but thanks, that answered the question.
so if im not mistaken, the struts will give me better handling, not the springs?

and im looking for 4 struts not shocks right?

can someone post pictures of sealed / servicable struts please? i searched and all the picture links are dead.
