2nd Generation Brake Light doesn't come on

I have an 87 2G. My driver side brake light (the one on the corner with the turn signals) doesn't come on when my headlights are on. It works fine when the driving lights and head lights are off. I know this means that the brakes are using the driving lights electrical path when the headlights are off and the brighter one when they are on. I was just wondering where the short or broken wire might be. Has anyone else had this issue. Please let me know.

Any chance that this just happened after you replaced the two filament bulb?

Not sure about an 87 model. If the lenses are in the trunk lid the most likely location is where the wires go along the hinge at the trunk body. These flex each time you open the trunk and will damage wires over time.

Make sure to check your ground connections as well. Poor or loose ground connections can cause wierd problems.
