Hey guys, all I've ever had are '89-90 Corollas which I've been very pleased with.
Have a chance to buy a 1991 Camry wagon with 175,000 miles for $1,500. Its a one owner (son has it now) V6. Timing belt 25K ago. Everything works on it, all electrics, AC, remotes, seat - everything.
The only evident problems are one spot of rust on the front fender, paint fading and several interior trim pieces broken. The steering acts like the front tire has a bad belt maybe, CV boots are good.
My questions: Is $1,500 in the ballpark? Thats a little below NADA. What about the V6? I like my 4AF engines and can easily get 30-32mpg. Will the V6 get almost as good and be as reliable? I have 260,000 on one of my 4AFs, will the V6 live that long?
Thanks for any and all advice/remarks.
