2nd Generation OEM Toyota cd player

I know that some of the newer toyota Headunits / CD Players between 87 -2001 will fit in our camrys but i dont know which ones.

I want a oem toyota cd player that will fit in my 87 camry.

I just want to know where i should start looking for a plug and play cd player
what cars/trucks have them.

So far what i do know is that the ones that do fit in our cars are mostly 2 piece units but thats fine by me

Does anyone know what cars and trucks have these units ??

they all will fit since it's double din.. you'll have to do a custom harness to get it working since they switched up harness after the gen2... i mean the plugs are physically the same but the wire placement are different.. which isn't too hard

I know that you could fit a newer Toyota Cd player (OEM) in something from 1987 and up. Anything before 1987 (1986 and older) won't as they changed their connector.

I do know that I was able to connect a 2000 ish model toyota echo CD/Radio head unit in my 1987 Cressida. It would work, but the face plate on the toyota echo CD/Radio was bigger then the typical size.

I have a reason to believe that the 1997~2001 model radios would fit. Just got to find the right one with the right connector. ebay has sellers selling some radios that came from a Gen 4.5 camry, but they are usually around $90 bucks.

As for the wires being different but the connector being the same, I can't say anything on that since I didn't know anything on that.
