Advice on purchase 1989 Camry wagon

I am looking at a Camry wagon 1989 with 130,000 miles on it. From the description, it looks great - but I would like some tips on what I should look for on this vehicle (beyond the typical fluid check)? I also would like advice on the long term miles (like, will she go to 200k?)? Buying a car at 130,000 doesn't bother me if the remainder of her life is long with routine care. (btw - auto trans, V6).

Books have been written on how to buy used cars. That being said - the suspension (rubber parts), the axles (while driving slow, turn wheel all the way right and all the way left it should not click), the AC should work without clattering, verify each light and switch operate. Drive over a wet patch - you should only see two tracks, not four. Rust is a no no. Clean is better than dirty. and on and on and on...

Get the VIN before buying the car and run a carfax report on it. If you need to travel a long way to see the car, do this before making the trip. Ask for the maintenance history on the car. Especially, the transmission.

Luck,
Kep

I would just try and get as much info on past repairs (what has been done) to get an idea of what you may be getting in to.

Mine has about 180,000 miles on it. I have replaced quite a few things along the way but she still runs strong. If it doesnt have any fluid leaks, thats a bonus for sure

Run the VIN for sure.
