1990 Camry Wheel Hub Assembly

How hard is it to replace this? After the shop gave me a 420 dollar estimate to replace the hub i'm thinking of doing it myself. Front drivers side btw.

The wheel will move up and down with alot of play, and tire makes a shuddering and thumping noise.

Do I need a torque wrench? The shop stated that they would need to remove the entire spindle unit to replace it.

Thanks in advance,
Brian

The hub needs to pressed out of the bearing, then bearing pressed out of the hub. You will need to remove the knuckle and need a press or a shop that has one. Axle nut need to be torqued.

AutoZone has a got site on this:
