2nd Generation 89 Camry V6 Auto bad fuel economy

I am anxious about bad fuel economy of my car; goes around 21 Miles/Gallon (7.5 KM/Litre) in the city. I have changed all the lubricants and Lube oil filter 5 months ago. The STP brand Patrol Booster liquid was not very beneficial. What are the things to check? Please advice me how to improve?

Actually for a v6 automatic that is pretty good city mpg

I have a 4cyl auto and mine is stuck @ 20mpg city and hwy ><
Still can't figure it out.

Do you have a cold air intake? upgraded exhaust system? Those improve mpg

I think I posted a reply like this one to someone else's concerns about bad gas mileage on their V6 a few weeks ago...try doing some searches of the forum.

Some of the things that I've done to improve my V6's mileage include:

Bad wheel bearing (once in the front, once on the rear)
Clogged fuel filter (this one I definitely recommend replacing)
General tune-up (rotor, cap, wires, plugs, air filter)
Check that timing is within spec

And one other little thing: you should not ever be waiting five months to change your oil and filter. It should be every 5000km or three months.
