Gen1 Damsel in Distress

I bought a new thermostat, but cannot figure out where to install it. Have a 1986 Camry 4 cyl. Thought it would be off top hose, but would have to remove distributor to install. Help!!!

Follow the lower radiator hose to the engine. It is there, just outboard of oil filter. I believe that there is a gasket for the housing and another for the thermostat.

Do what Kep said. You will see 2 10MM hex nuts on the studs. I believe there is only one gasket (actually an o-ring). I would make sure to also replace the o-ring. It's cheap enough insurance to replace it each time the housing is removed.
