86 camry engine non start when wet

This one's kind of weird.

My wife's 86 FI camry ran fine UNTIL I flushed the area around the battery with water and baking soda to neutralize the battery acid on the battery tray. Now it won't start. It cranks fine, runs for a few seconds then dies. Also dies if I step on the gas pedal. I'm not a whiz with FI, but I'm thinking something to do with throttle body sensor / air flow ????

Any ideas / source on troubleshooting - the haynes manual isn't that great.

Thanks for the link - I'll thoroughly dry out the air sensor box with a hair dryer and see what happens. Appreciate the help. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Pulled the air sendsor box and thoroughly dried it out with a heat gun on "low". When i pulled it off I noticed the rubber connecting tube was loose on the air sensor box end. Reinstalled the air sensor box, tighten down all the air hose clamps and the camry started right up.
