Gen1 85 Camry idles rough??

85 Camry with 2SE engine and auto transmission just started to idle rough. My son drove it home at night, next morning it was rough running under about 1800 RPM. As you drive down the road, it will shake bad at about 45 MPH as its around 1500 RPM. I changed the spark plugs, the cap and rotor. I checked the plug wires with an ohm meter as they are at most 2 years old and checked good. I changed the fuel filter and removed and cleaned the throttle body. I pulled and cleaned an almost plugged EGR valve. The Chilton manual talks about an Idle Air valve or Idle Air control valve that is bolted to the cylinder head cover?? and to remove the 2 bolts and the wire plug. Any idea where this is to be found, as I have looked all over the engine and can not find one. I saw a picture at Auto Zone, its $200 but I can not find anything that looks like it on this engine?? It also says the engine will idle rough if the EGR valve is staying open. I am sure its closed but will check futher. Any help would be apprecieated, and thanks in advance.

I believe that the 2se is similar to the 3SFE. If so, the IAC valve is directly beneath the throttle body. The throttle body must be removed to see it and clean the IAC thoroughly. However, sometimes you can squirt throttle body cleaner down the orifice (It's a diamond shaped hole on the "floor" of the throttle body on a 3SFE) and let it soak a while to see if there is an improvement. However, it's old enough I expect that you will need to remove it.

marc780 posted a good diagram and picture of the IAC at:

Narrowed it down to the 1 cylinder. I can pull the spark plug wire off with no change on the engine running. I just put on new plug wires with no help. The plugs are also new, but the number 1 is not brown at all, but laying on the valve cover and running the engine its firing. My guess now is the injector. Dose anyone know if these are 2 stage injectors? One stage for the idle and the other for above idle? It still runs fine above 1800 RPM, but shakes because of the dead cylinder below 1800. I can go down the road and floor it, pick up is still good. I pulled compression on the number 1 cylinder and its low, 85, but the car does have 220000 miles on it.
