basketweave refinish

Hello. Got a pair of those basketweave aluminum wheels that come on gen 2's. However, mine are fading fast and actually quite black. From the looks of it, the coating is comming off after 300k. is there anyway to polish/bush/paint the silver back on?

Get WURTH high gloss silver laquer. Thats what I used to do a cheap makover on some BBSs for my 1g

clean em up, tape off the shiny rim edge and paint the weaves black or car color, let it dry, take fine sandpaper and take the paint off the tops of the weaves and then clearcote them

what does that look like afterwards? did you do it to yours?

i dont have that style, but i have alot experiance at painting wheels

why take paint off the top of the weaves? i thought it was masked? and how do you mask a circle?
