I'm officially exhausted and I need a mechanic in PA!!!
That's it, I've had it. I have been working on swapping the motor into my 89 Camry for 2 weeks now. THOUGHT I had the torque converter lined up right. I dropped the motor in, lined it up, bolted up the bellhousing bolts, then noticed the flywheel pressed against the lower part of the bellhousing, which made me think the torque converter slipped out of its spot again. Unfortunately, the center nub on the converter is now completely stuck inside the center hole on the flywheel, and I have been prying and hammering at it to no avail. Can't put the motor in, can't pull it out. I'm stuck, in all sense of the word.
If this were a krusty old V8 hot rod, or an aircooled VW, I could have had a dozen engine swaps completed by now.
Soooo, anyone here in Northeastern PA who's a good enough mechanic to help me out on this? I took off enough time from work, I need to get back to my life and leave this car in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing better than me. I'm serious. PM me please.
