Hi all, Im a newbie to this forum but am looking forward to some good advice and information.
I have 2 1988 Gen 2 v6 Camrys with the 2vz engines one we bought to restore the other as a parts farm. The later has a "clack, clack, clack" engine knock but was useful for parts so far. The restored unit has travelled only 30kms since an engine miss was a burnt valve and had both cylinder heads fully rebuilt. Well all was going well until it too now has a similar or same loud clacking noise eminating from the engine. It has not overheated nor has it run out of oil or something silly like that. It is strange how both now old and new sound the same. Is this a common fault with these engines? Has anyone had this happen also? Would like any information possible on this if you have.
