1989 Toyota Camry 4cyl Engine Swap

Okay here's the deal I have a 89 Toyota Camry sitting in my drive way, last time I drove it was about oh two years ago been sitting ever since. I just recently decided that I wanted to fix it up was a good car when I drove it and everything, but it had its problems. It lacked power on acceleration/hills, then eventually the car quit out on me, didn't have any power only in reverse and would die after about five minutes of being turned on then wouldn't start for about 10 minutes. Just a little history about the car.

I plan on swapping the motor out and transmission at the same time taking what I need off the old engine given that the parts work and function properly. Since I'm only going to be replacing my old motor and trans with newer lower mile ones the swap should be decently easy right?
I have a clintons for the car so I can just follow that for most of the swap, but what I'm wondering what problems I could or might run into during the swap is basically what I'm asking.

I'm not planning on doing the swap for another few weeks, I haven't even ordered my engine/trans yet cause I wanted some information about it all before I went out and bought them.

Im actually in the same situation as you, i have an 89 camry sitting in my driveway with a bad engine and i want to do an engine swap from another car. I can get another running 87 camry with 120k miles for 400, so im planning on swapping the engine into it and a few other things that i need. What 3sfe engine are compatible with my 89 camry? My car is a 5speed and the parts car would be a automatic. I was told that the 87-89 camry has the same flywheel bolt pattern on their engine. Is that true? Would the 87 3sfe engine fit my 89 5speed tranny?

And what work goes into doing an engine swap like this? Anybody have any links to thread where people describe the work that goes into doing this? And does anyone know where i would be able to rent an engine hoist so i could take the engine out and put the new one in?
