1st & 2nd Generation (1983–1986 & 1987-1991)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1983-1986 & 1987-1991.
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Today is very bittersweet for me. I just purchased a new car, a silver 2008 Subaru WRX 5 door. Although I am excited, it means that I must let go of my Gen 2. So I want to thank everyone here for their help and support with all my Gen 2 modding ventures (you know who you are). Anyways, I will be parting out my car for the next couple of months (or however long it takes). Just to get you guys salivating here is a list of my Gen 2 mods:
1) Australian Headlights (with integrated fog lights)
2) Australian corner lights (clear)
3) Australian nose panel
4) Rear European license plate trim (with reverse fog light, etc)
5) EL Prototypes Cold Air Intake (1st one made for 4cyl)
6) Momo race Steering Wheel
7) Momo F1 carbon fiber horn button
8) Tekniq Auto snap-off street system (with Gen 2 hub)
9) Sparco 4-point harnesses (2)
10) Tenzo Carbon fiber look racing seats (decent wear)
11) Custom seat rails
12) Celica GTS 00-01 rims
13) Upgraded Alternator (would like to say 160 amps, but not sure)
14) Custom Blue on White Gauges with tachometer
15) Carbon Fiber Hood
16) Lexus ES250 White Gauge Needles
17) Lexus ES250 Strut bar
The following are items used to convert my interior to that of a Lexus ES250:
18) Lexus ES250 Dash (with all buttons)
19) Lexus ES250 Center Console with Black Leather console cushion/pad (with all wood trim)
20) Lexus ES250 Black Leather Shifter (automatic with overdrive)
21) Lexus ES250 metal dash bracket (used to attach center console to dash)
I think that is most of it. Also, I just installed new exhaust piping with a brand new precat (less than a year old).
So far this is just a list of my accomplishments and not a list of things for sale (yet)
Adios amigos!
Matt
p.s. you may still see me lurking around these parts.

Good luck with the new car... I know you'll love it!
If you want anything done to it, a good buddy of mine owns a shop down in Orange: www.garagetuning.com Talk to Kevin and tell him Charlie sent you!
Dibs on the Aussie parts (headlights, grill and nose panel). You don't have the bumper with all the vents on it, do you?
Make sure you find somebody that deserves that hood - they are really rare!
-Charlie
PS. I am also selling a set of Celica GTS wheels... Still with good tires if there is a second person interested in a set. This is what they look like:

1990 Camry DX 3S-FE 5spd - The original white90dx; gone but not forgotten
Thanks for the reference. I am loving the car already, but my Camry is jealous being parked in the same vicinity. I am in Nor Cal right now so I wil be driving the WRX down first and then my lady is going to fly up and bring the Gen 2 down. So I do not know when the part out fiesta will begin.
I appreciate everyone wanting to see pics. If you want to see some go to cardomain.com. My ID is phat91camryle.
I also forgot to mention that I have a Lexus ES250 front bumper with indicator lights. It requires no modification and has an aggressive look.
Make sure if you called dibs on something to send me a PM so I don't forget in the weeks to come.
Again, thanks to everyone for all you support and I hope the soul of my Camry lives on through the parts you put on yours!
Later,
Matt

thanks for your contributions to the GEN2 community. You're car inspired me to get mine to where it is now. I use to look at yours and think man it'd be sweet to have all that on mine. On top of that yours is the same color as mine. My car started heading in a different direction than yours did. I'm still working my way towards the cosmetic stuff you have done. I got the performance aspect somewhat covered.lol

Yeah. Everything on my Camry is up for grabs. Charlie has dibs on the Aussie stuff, Atobe has dibs on the alternator and hood (if you still want it and of course I will sell it to you!), and JMsports has dibs on the tach and rims. I am up in Nor Cal (where I bought the WRX) so it might take a while for the Camry to get down to So Cal (b/c I am driving the WRX back to So Cal, leaving the Camry up in Nor Cal).
Atobe: the ES250 bumper can be yours as well.
Oh btw JMsports, the security button will only work with the ES250 Dash and will not work on the Camry dash. It is also combo-ed with the fog light button. I am trying to sell the whole thing as a complete package.
Wangan: thanks for your thanks. I am glad I inspired you and perhaps others.
I also have a 2.0 emblem from a Euro spec Camry, a TRD oil filter, and a couple repair manuals including the Factory repair manual (and other parts floating around that I will get to).
Sorry I haven't been responding too quickly to posts. I have been busy working. Hope everything is going well with all of your Camrys.
I will let you know when the Camry is down South and ready to be parted out. I will keep a list of dibs, but keep calling them!
Later,
Matt

All the parts that are spoken for are the Aussie lights, the CF hood, alternator, tach, rims. That is about it I believe.
