ECT output command tester for A140e is ready to go

I am proud to announce that the A140E ECT output command tester passed the road test; I just build another one, so whoever would like to diagnose the shift complains, feel free to PM me.

So this hooks from the Diagnosis Plug and the battery?

Pretty cool if you made it yourself, too bad i don't have a shift problem.

In the future I would make a short video to show how it works; its basically a plug-in monitor that plugs into tranny connector between male and female connector halves;[I used OEM connector from junk-yard}
The LED indicator comes on when the shift or lock up solenoid energizes.
I will post brief description later on{from my semester project}.

You can do a similar thing with the A540E/H using a multimeter and the diagnostics port. I think it will also work with the A140E... There is a pin on the diagnostics port that outputs a voltage relative to the gear and lockup condition - it is actually pretty fun to watch. The procedure is listed in the factory service manual. It won't tell you want is actually getting to the transmission, but it tells you what is supposed to be happening.

I used it couple of times but this distracts the drivers and caught attention of the local policeman. The thought it is new radar detector.The video should come in about 2 weeks, once I've done with my classes.
It was also interesting to see how it makes downshift signals while going to stop; OD-2nd-3-rd then again, 2nd then finally first [not 4-3-2-1]
