A notice For California drivers:

A notice For California drivers:
“Per the Governor's Executive Order issued on July 31, 2008 concerning the state budget, Referee and Consumer Assistance Program (CAP) Repair Assistance, and Vehicle Retirement services have been suspended until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience. Consumers may call the Department of Consumer Affairs, Consumer Information Center at (800) 952-5210. Also, please check our web site periodically to confirm when both Referee and CAP services will resume.”
So I was doing the smart thing keeping our wagon running. Now I would focus on body, bumpers trim, etc project to make it looking good [for insurance purposes].
I am assuming that the state smog shop inspectors are going to be busy now trying to cite the smog shops for violations [to get some money for the budget].
Please post if you are having problems passing CA smog.

To X98: After the state budget will be signed early in Sept, we will know; no changes so far; the DMV still can give you extension, if reg. was allready paid.
Why were you sent to referee?
