Pulsating Scratching Sound (brakes?)

I have a 1990 Camry. For the first couple of minutes that I drive it after it's sat for a while (like, for example, overnight), there's a pulsating scratching sound that goes away when I push the brake. After about 2 minutes, it stops completely? Obviously it's something brake-related, right? Any guesses at what it could be?

If it is coming from the back brakes it kind of sounds like a shoe retraction spring has broken.

I would also check and see that your bearings are not shot either. If the wheel wobbles because of a bad bearing up front it could be scraping against the caliper and smooth out on its own as you start to drive if its not badly worn , but something like that only gets worse. I would jack up the car and check for wheel wobble to be on the safe side .
