i'm sure they all have mp3 capabilities now. everyone has their prefered brand, i like pioneer... they all install the same way though. you need to get wire harness and match them up to the correct wires from the car to the radio. that's the only hard part. if you feel you can do that then it should be easy.

Yes, but you re-use the stock speaker baskets and have to do a bit of cutting/etc. Ok, so that's not 'no modification'... but you can get the stock grills to fit right back over them. Make sure the speakers aren't too deep - the trunk springs can get in the way otherwise.

if u run a search, I'm pretty sure I wrote up the Crutchfield Master Sheet for someone on here a long time ago. The front speakers are a pain to replace. I ended up just fabbing some pods for the front doors to re use my wife's leftover Infinity 5x7s. They are 100x better than any 3.5" firing down at your knees lol. Good luck!

Wow, you left that field WAYYY open. While I'm sure most others can recommend higher-end systems, I can give you a recommendation for a very low-end budget system that sounds great, if that's what you're after. This unit is $80 at Wal-Mart. I like it because you can directly plug in a USB stick or an SD card. I've never used the CD player (and probably never will), but all 3 of the other inputs work great. The USB input works great with a 2 gig stick, but is somewhat slow to initially find files on a 4 gig jump drive. Will play them fine once it's found them though.
Although the built-in USB port will power & charge other USB devices, I've installed a 4-port USB hub in the cubby hole in the dash. I power my GPS & charge my cell phone off this hub, and don't have to plug anything into the cig. lighter, which does a good job of blocking the left cup holder when there's something plugged into it.
does anyone know if i get a 4 channel deck for my 91 wagon will i need an amp? the wagon has 6 speakers, 2 front, 4 rear. BUT are the 4 rear on the same channel? or separate ones?
i think they are on the same channel.... but if you decide to put an amp just connect the amp to a set of pre-amped outputs from your head unit.... usually new head units have to sets of pre-amped outputs.. connect the sub for the rear and the speakers for the front out put...
and the rear 4 speakers are on two channels. best buy said the left two are one channel, the right two another channel, then the front two have their own channels. thus making 4 channels =]
