door to fender wires

hello team.

i have a short in my power door/window switches and it comes from the wires that go from door to fender (where the rubber protective seal is). how do i expose those wires for inspection. could load picture but will if needed.

There might be connectors behind the kick panel, which you can unplug and feed it back to the outside which would allow you to work on the wiring easier.
