Want to seafoam. Where is the brake booster / vacume line?
Want to seafoam. Where is the brake booster / vacume line located? I don't know that much about cars. I think I might know where it is, but want to be completely sure. Can someone point me to a picture of it? THANKS!!

brake booster too big. use the smaller vacum hose on the black box right behind the right headlight
That's the cruise control box. Jason doesn't have cruise control, so that doesn't help him...
I agree though, the brake booster line is too big. There are a number of different small vacuume lines that can be used on the intake manifold instead.

That one goes to the brake booster. If you need to use a smaller vacuum port, the ones on the opposite end of the intake plenum, right next to where the brake booster vacuum hose connects to the engine. That is where the cruise control usually hook up for vacuum, or take the vacuum supply hose off the A/C idle up valve. All of that is on the right side of the car, right above the oil cap.
They are both for the brake booster, the one on the right gets vacuum from the intake and directs it over to the one on the left connected to the booster. If you want a smaller one there is one right above the right side one.

I just Seafoamed my car. I wanted to do it at night because of all the smoke. So I went to a dead end road and put 1/3 in the gas, 1/3 in the oil, and 1/3 in the vacuum line. I then let it sit for 15 minutes before starting it up. Then I rev'ed it at high RPM's for about 1-2 minutes.
I had watched video's on youtube and the smoke coming out of those people's cars seemed to last a lot longer than mine. After 1 minute the thick smoke was gone, and there was just a tiny bit coming out of the pipe. I then drove it 10 miles down the freeway and back in 3rd gear for most of the way.
So now I am suppose to change the oil right?
