im an idiot, parking lights, tail lights, dash lights dont work

ok i have a 91 camry wagon V6 and i went out and bought those LED windshield washers because i thought they would look cool.

so im following the crappy instructions that came with them and it tells me to splice into the parking light and ground the other wire to the chassis. when i spliced into the wire i tested it with a voltmeter and it is confirmed the white and red striped one is the "live" wire. i go ahead and put the + wire from the LED washer into the splice i made and i electrical tape it up.

when i go to test them i turn the headlight knob all the way so what should happen is the headlights, dash, parking lights and taillights all should light. WELL only the headlights light and the brake lights will only work when the brake is applied. not to mention my would be sweet looking LED washers didn't light up either

SO im guessing i shorted out the whole system by splicing into the wire OR blew a fuse OR both

well my question is what fuse (if i blew it) should i replace and i figure i need new wires where i spliced it. so if i buy a new corner light like this one http://www.carjunky.com/partstore/?N...6946+1725+9283 does that include wiring?

AND finally if someone could give me some instructions on how to get these LED's working with a in dash switch that would be cool because thats what i originally wanted to do but i got lazy.

Might be it is the Green wire that goes to the running lights. You need to pick up the circuit at the Tail fuse.

If you want to add a switch run the power through a switch that installs in a blank hole in the dash.

Run the power wire from the lights from the Tail fuse or wiring coming from the tail fuse.

This fuse comes directly off of the tail light relay that turns the running lights on and off.
