USA 87 camry fuel filter, cant budge it!

tried the bottom line and cant budge it, kinda a tough spot to get any leverage too, hit it woth penetrating oil, will try again tomorrow. Don't want to bend line either. Any hints? bottom is the 14mm/17mm, top is way easier, will do it when bottom is loose.

2nd Generation Penetrant is a good good thing!

Mine came off after the penetrant and 24 hours!

You might use a box type wrench made just for pipe nuts.

A regular wrench might strip the nut.

Godd luck!

Talking Got fuel filter off and swapped, runs lots better! :)

took it to the garage down the street and they had to use an impact wrench to get it off, filter mgr. date was Aug 2002, and dunno if it was just tightened way to much or from sitting, but hey for $40 they swapped it out for my new one in 45 mins, although I did tip the guy $15 AND BOY DOES SHE RUN FASTER/BETTER NOW! oops caps.....you could blow through filter but still seemed clogged.
