Engine swap

I've owned for 2 years a Toyota Camry 1988, Man. 1994, sedan body, FWD, Tr. 2 way 4 speed auto with OD, disp 1838 cc, bf. E-Sv22-jepmm, engine model 4ssi, modification lumiere 1988. This is a lovely car which has served me well. Recently it has developed an oil and fuel leak which are proving to be troublesome and it looks like I may eventually need a new engine soon.

I'm looking alternative engine to swap with which isn't an efi and has a Low Fuel Consumption.

Please help me with suggestions on the engine choice which could fit in very well

Most of us here are in North America, and we only got EFI motors (2.0L and larger) in the Camry since '87. I don't think anyone here would have good suggestions for you.
