Several people have done swaps with Mr2 and Celica motors. A search will do you wonders. Some have pics of the process as well, so those are good to look at.

You will need to start with a motor from a similar chassis... in the case of the Camry, that leaves you with the Camry and Celica.

What are the power goals and budget? Turbo? N/A? No matter what, you will have to do a lot of wiring. You will need the motor, wiring harness, ECU and all sensors that match the motor. Also consider upgrading the transmission at the same time. If you choose well, you won't have to do a lot of other modifying.

Here's mine:

-Charlie

PS: Some decent motor options with their aprox. stock horsepower range: 3s-ge (130-210hp) , 3s-gte (190-265hp), 2vz-fe (155hp), 3vz-fe (175hp), 5vz-fe (175hp+torque!), 1mz-fe (190-210hp), 3mz-fe (220hp)
