my tyre guy (cos i went to get new tyres at $110AUS! ) told me that until i lower my car i'm going to get wheel spin all the time. as it is it's during take off and between first and second. he asked if i'd done any mods and i showed him (basically the half finished pod filter setup) and he asked how far i'm going to go with it, i explained all the plans so far (see my other thread) and he looked at me and said i need to lower it. anyone heard of this before? my tyres aren't new, but they have plenty of grip and my exhaust, engine, and tranny are all good. any ideas anyone? i'm slightly baffled on this?

Ummm... that guy doesn't know what he's talking about.

Just get some good tires, and you won't have wheel spin. Lowering the car with do nothing for traction, and will actually hurt traction if you increase the camber at the same time. I specifically kept the camber at 0.5* after I lowered my 3s-gte Camry to keep as much traction as possible (rather than 1-2* for better handling).
