I need to see pics of Gen2's with 18 inch wheels if they are out there. As some of you know I'm going to go with a VIP look unfortunately the only VIP wheels that they make in 17' is the Euroline DH. I think the days for that wheel is numbered. The only other option for me right now is to a) put myself in debt and order the DH's or b) start to explore the option of going with 18' wheels. The next thing is that I will have alot more options with 18's. I really like some of the Leon Hardiritt stuff out there and that stuff only comes in 18' minimum.
The second part of this post is a question on Camber kits. I know that there are bolts out there that can give me up to 2 degrees of camber adjustability. My question is what can I do to get more because I have a feeling that if I do get 18's I'll need a minimum of 2 degrees up front and possibly more out back because of the different offset I will get back there.
thanks for everyones help so far.

Width, offset and ride height matter most for fitting wheels on a given car. Adjusting the camber with bolts (at the hub) won't get you extra room unless you have the wrong offset wheels. Celica camber plates (I'm not sure which ones...) may work to give you extra room by moving the top of the strut inboard for extra camber and room.
The 'standard' answer for 18's is to get a 7-7.5" wide wheel with 225 tires with a 38-40 offset. You can probably add spacers in the rear after roling the fenders to get a more-flush look.
How extreme are you trying to go? Stretched tire?

I'm trying to go pretty extreme as far as a gen2 is concerned to tell you the truth. I'm thinking of going 18x8 all around with slightly stretching if I have to. I figure I'll need those camber plates to tuck in the top of the front wheels. The back should fit fine even with me running less offset. By me running less offset in the rear I will avoid using spacers plus I will have a staggered look without staggering the wheels themselves. So the haters can't say I'm running staggered on a fwd. My front fenders are already rolled the rears will need to be by the time I get the wheels. I'm going to break out the rulers and tape measure soon and start figuring out what offsets i'll need.

Thanks man. VIP style is expensive! The wheels alone I'm looking at are anywhere from 2400-3000 for the set and that's without tires. These types of builds are not for the weak of heart/wallet.

Hmmm... not really. I have a pretty good idea what will fit on my Alltrac, but my rear suspension is pretty highly modified (2" wider rear track with longer control arms).
I do like your idea of a different offset on the rear to get the look right. I don't see an issue with running more lip on the rear. I can't do that with the 4wd though, so I haven't considered it for myself.
