That is sad... I have an extra stock radio and I'll have an extra manifold/cat in a few months after I do the motor swap over to the new Camry. I know that doesn't really help you now though.

It is illegal to SELL the used cat on the open market. As long as this cat is for the same model /engine you are fine installing it. Note 89 -up California cats my require the plug for the downstream O2 sensor
Make sure you lock the car and it's hood so your 'friends' wont get some toys from your wagon.

I read up on it and I learned a few things. its illegal to reuse a cat from a salvage yard unless tested and re certified. it is legal to reuse a cat as long as its been tested by official sources. A muffler or automotive shop is not aloud to install a used cat even if the customer says its from the vehicle they have. so basicaly ts not illegal to reuse a cat its illegal to reuse an untested cat.
