88 camry alltrac performance????

i jus bought an 88 camry alltrac and i wanna know what you guys would do first performance wise...i was thinking about swapping it with a turbo celica motor but i dont have 1600$ to drop right now...what do you think

Dammit, that's exactly what I was going to say!

I spent about $1000 on just maintenance items when I did my swap (belts, water pump, seals/gaskets, clutch/pressure plate, axle rebuilds, etc) - and that was just my 2wd car. At least I won't need to re-do most of it to move it over to my Alltrac Camry...

Expect $3k+ if you do the work yourself and maybe $6k+ if you pay a shop to do the swap.

There isn't much for performance for the Alltrac Camry other than that... Are you looking for power, handling, or?
