2nd Generation JMSports' 90 Camry DX.

I see no older Camry's in this section, so let mine be the first.

Let's Begin:

Car Info:
1990 Toyota Camry DX
4 Cylinder Inline
Automatic
Paid $1200 for it
One previous owner who bought it new from Amity Toyota on Long Island, New York
Put $900 in it so far
New Gas Tank, Straps, Fuel Sender Lead due to old one being completely rotted out on the topside,
800 bucks later...
Interior is mint, no cracks, rips, tears, fading, nothing
Original Paint. Rust in a few normal places, on wheel wells, behind the front mudflap on the right side
Head-Unit is a JDM CD/Tape/Nav Unit from a 1998 Toyota Corolla (bought from RenMike on this site)
6 Disc Dual CD Changer
Original stock speakers in deck and front
Two Dual subwoofers in a Bandpass Box in the trunk powered by a 580W Dual Amplifier
Added a large horn speaker in the center of the car
Replaced huge fuel gauge tach w/ RPM gauge tachometer (thanks to white90dx)
Replaced interior door handles w/ Chrome LE door handles (thanks to Mike Morris)
Replaced dome light with an LED bulb
161,XXX Miles as of 5/2/09
The car has 2 dents on it, one on the back part of the roof, and one on the end of the trunk
Both dents are from a tree branch falling on the car before i owned it

The car is locked in a yard every night, hidden behind a six foot chainlink fence with metal coverings. And during the day, the car sits in my college parking lot which has a lot of better candidates for theft then mine. Plus i park it right where the Rent-A-Cops sit so if anything they might actually catch someone.

Your car is as good a candidate as any other car in the lot and possibly even more so. Older Camrys are stolen not so people can drive around and show off, but rather is the parts that people are after.

Thats cause these cars are so parts versitile. You can take parts off an 88 and put them on a 91, etc. Thats why Camry's, Integra's, Civic's, and Accord's are of the top 4 stolen cars in America.

Well, THAT was really refreshing to look at. I'm a fan of the classic, 80's Japanese style that went into those cars back then. The interior is just clean, in a lot of aspects of the word too. I like it. ^_^

Panasonic (Fujitsu Ten Limited in Japan) built Nav units for the Jap Versions of the Camry and Corolla. My head unit is from a 98 Corolla. (it says that in the first post)

Thanks!
