Parking brake light acting up

Alright, so when I lay on the brakes to stop completely, my "Brake" light comes on. It also flashes going over bumps. Bad sensor possibly?

Sounds like it. Id check the wires. The brake light illuminates when the parking brake is engaged, and the lights light illuminates when the brake lights arent working.

time to check the pads... it's possible that you'r low on pad or you're leaking brake fluids which is unlikely

I'll be the one to risk insulting your intelligence and ask: have you checked the fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir? If it's very low, the light will come on to indicate that you have to add some...

^ I have to agree and mention when you check the reservoir, it's best to remove the cap and look down the reservoir itself. Don't just look through the translucent reservoir from the side. Many times old and dirty brake fluid will stain the insides of the reservoir, making it look full when it is actually low.

You're completely right on that one, I had forgotten about that problem. If the fluid hasn't been flushed regularly, that almost always happens. Good call.

uh low brake fluid means it's gone somewhere you have to see where it went... either low pad or a leak you can't just fill it up and call it a day
