I think I have a blockage.

In fact, I know I have a blockage.

1991 4cyl 3SFE; SV21; autotrans

It is in one of the lines in the fuel pump bracket assembly.
I think it might be a return line but I'm not quite sure; I was hoping one of you could tell me.
I cleaned up my bracket assembly after it has been sitting for a couple years.. so there was all kinds of goo all over it. This line I'm speaking of was all gooed up as well. Using good ol' lung power, I tried blowing through the line from the opposite side of where I suspect it is blocked. No luck.
I am wondering if there may be some sort of valve inside the line that I need to be aware of because my next step is going to be blowing the line out with my air compressor. That so, how much air pressure (PSI) should I use? (I don't want to damage the line).

Here is the line I'm talking about... I'd appreciate the help guys, thanks

Greg, the line you have indicated is, in fact, the return line. There is no valve that I'm aware of, especially considering that the line is under very low pressure--a valve would only raise the pressure in a line that's not designed for high PSI.

You can use up to 30 psi of air;
the line with clamp-on fittings is return line; one time we have had customer with 84 camry . The nylon strainer valve on the pump discharge side fell apart and clogged the PRESSURE line.

I suppose you could try sitting the sending unit so that the opening is facing up, and pour a small amount of Seafoam into there...wait a few hours or even a day and see if it's dissolved the blockage.

However, if corrosion is the culprit then you'll have to replace the line or the whole assembly.
