2nd Generation Fuel Injectors...

Seeing as how everything I do that is fuel related seems to be gummed up pretty bad, I suppose I must assume that the injectors are fairly gummed up as well... ehhh
so injectors for the 3sfe motor are expensive anywhere you look, dealer, napa, advance, etc....

I'd like to know if there are any injectors that will fit the Gen2 3sfe motor?
...such as newer toyota cars... like a new corolla or camry.
I'm hoping to maybe swipe some cheap from a junkyard if the car hasn't been sitting there too long.

I gotta tell you Greg, the injectors are pretty much the most reliable part on your car. Every Toyota I've come across that has sat for long periods of time (like the 91 Corolla I just bought that's been sitting for almost three years) has been just fine--in fact, they usually fire after only a few cranks, even with gummy jelly in the lines.

Rather than complicating your efforts, try buying a can of Seafoam and pouring it into the new tank of gas. It's darned close to pure petroleum, and any deposits in the lines or injectors will be dissolved and incinerated after a tank or two.

Tthe 88 to 91 3sfe injectors are fully interchangeable.
86-87 injectorsARE different.
Remove the fuel rail and pull injectors out
on each injector 'fuel-in' side there is small nylon ["sock"]filter.
Remove it by lightly tpping injector or using the small hook, then wash these filters in paint thinner [NOT acetone or alcohol, or you may play with latter model injectors' filters to se if they can fit.
