2nd Generation Yet another Resistor Thread

Okay so I'm trying to repair my blower motor resistor pack instead of buying a new one and I've searched the forum and the net like crazy. So far I have found that the three coils have measurements of: 0.4 Ohm, 0.8 Ohm, and 1.5 Ohm. I also found that you can replace the nichrome wire with a resistor such as http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2062290 . However nothing tells me how many watts the resistor needs to be or if there is a better replacement. This may be common sense to some but seeing as I only know take it apart and put it back together mechanics I've got no clue. I don't work well with electricity.

Others may have different experiences but I tried one of those resistors. To get the wattage needed, it was too large to fit. (Think I fried a 2 watt pretty quickly and a 5 watt was too large to even try.) I did buy a used unit from ebay and used it to repair mine as the connectors were different.
