I had the pleasure a while ago of replacing a leaking metal line right under the driver side front and rear door joint. There is a lot of salt spray from the front tire at that point. Just another good reason to pay extra for the underbody wash, when you take your car through the car wash in the winter. I know this doesn't apply to those in warmer climates! I figured as long as I was working on the one line I would just replace both lines from the firewall the the proportioning valve. And I also replaced the three fuel lines from the joint under the car to the lines from the tank (I did not mess with taking the tank out or the tank lines) to the engine/fuel filter. I could not find a diagram of this online so here you go hope it helps if you have to mess with a job like this. I'm just not sure how the proportioning valve is set up inside. I plugged the damaged line at the fire wall, to keep fluid from going down the line. But then fluid would come back up the line from the proportioning valve. If that makes sense.
