2nd Generation Hiccups on my 93 Camry LE V6

Hi,

My 1993 Camry LE V6 (151K) has been working fine. All of a sudden this morning when I started my car I started to feel hiccups with the car. When I gas and drive the car then It is fine but when It is idle it hiccups. Not sure what is going on. Any help is appreciated. I had done the Spark Plugs change (Autolite platinum @ 104K miles). So it has been about 48K miles since the last spark plug change about 3 years ago. Most (85%) of driving is on Freeway.

I am not sure if spark plug/DistributorCap/Rotor is the problem. But I just throwed the info out there.
Please help.

Didn't some of them run until 1992?

Anyways, some common causes of misfiring:
- Air leak
- Broken or worn piston rings
- Weak or broken valve srpings
- Burnt valves or valve seats in the cylinder head

Dirty injectors can also sometimes cause misfire or a rough idle.

Gen 1 & 2 Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1982-1986 & 1987-1991.

A 1993 would be a GEN 3. So this is the wrong section. If you post this in the Gen 3 section, you may get some answers from people who have the same car as you, of which we here with GEN 1's and GEN 2's do not.

Wouldnt you agree that someone in the more populated GEN 3 & 4 section could help him out better?
