I have a 1990 Camry LE 2.5L Auto. The interior color is dark Blue. Is LA82 the proper color code for this??? It has leather seats that re-dying and I can't find the color on any of the DIY leather dyes??
Thanks for the reply...but NO identification tag on the firewall or anywhere else in the engine bay. Did find one on the drivers door; C/o4o/T/LA82.
I presume C= exterior color because the 040 comes in as Super White which matches. The T/LA82 must be the interior trim put it doesn't show up at (3) different Auto parts stores anywhere. I've searched some of the internet with no success.
I looked on a couple websites that sell automotive leather dye, and they both have color charts, but all the color designations are in 2-4 digit numbers, no letters. They also don't tend to show the older models. The only leather color listed for a '90 Camry is dark gray, code 6767. Almost looks like dk. blue on my monitor. I don't know if those are Toyota-designated color codes, or their own (although both websites match numbers & colors).
Maybe the dealer parts dept. could offer some help on that.
This is the first time I ever heard of a 2nd gen having leather seats ! Does it have the digital dash too ?

Here's what I've found so far, the Color code is LA82 for sure. See the link below. The 82 matches put can't find the LA prefix?? I looked on the Lexus web sites and low and behold theres the dark blue color, code: 85. Called the Toyota dealer, he confirmed the LA82 is the same color as the 85 Lexus. He explained that per the Vin # this was a late 1990 model almost 1991, with leather seats.
