car issues......... small but they need sorting.

item 1, handbrake sticks. anything i should be looking at to fix this?
item 2, tranny is tired, clutch slips, and ways to fix this? (easy ways guys, i'm close to bankrupt) was gonna go with a 5 speed celica box, then i thought against it as the car will soon be a hauler for my "new" Hi Ace van.
item 3, question for all here, if you're leaking oil, and you've eliminated the block, power steering, brakes, what else could be leaking? i figure tranny, but without getting under it properly i can't see, (i live back at the parents due to financial stress and am unable to get under it).
item 4, any suggestions for repairing carpet?
item 5, seats, any one else had success transplanting seats from any other models? at all?
item 6, why after getting new tyres, am i still getting wheel spin? not just on take off, but through the gears 1 to 2 2 to 3 and cornering? suspension is fine.
item 7, do i need a cat converter?
item 8, will a leaky exhaust give me grief at the block end?
item 9, who invented cheese?
item 10, happy new year guys! hope you got good chrissie pressies!

1)Broken or stretched brake shoe return spring, seized handbrake cable

2) Weak or broken pressure plate diaphragm spring, worn drive plate facing, worn or scored flywheel, worn or scored pressure plate face, oil on driven face platings(maybe if you have a coolant leak this could happen?), insufficient pedal free travel

3) You'll need a good look underneath. It could as simple as the oil pan leaking.

6) Heavy foot? Swinging the car out? Wheel spin on the front or rear? Maybe it still has that coating that protects it from weathering. But this usually wears off after 150kms.

7)You should, but if it didn't come with one, you don't need it. Only if you get sprung when getting your safety inspection. Do you have a straight through pipe welded there?

8)What do you mean by that? Carbon on parts/block or heat damage? Where abouts is it? Between the block and exhaust manifold.

Those are just some common causes for the above that i can answer.
