Dark blue interior, what color wood grain?

As most of you know I'm going in a VIP style direction with my car. So in an effort to make the interior look a little more lux I'm going to be getting some hydrographics installed on the interior trim pieces. Just so you all know which pieces I'm talking about here is a list

Pieces acquired:
Dash bezel
Inner door handle bezel(front and rear, the area behind the chrome latch you use to open the door)
Caps(the ones that cover screws holding chair back panels on as well as the front door panels)
Head rest trim
Door lock trim
Radio bezel
Slide out cup holders
Sun visor trim
Maplight trim
Rearview mirror trim
Side mirror interior trim
Rear tail light interior trim
Tray(the one under the hand brake)
3SGTE valve cover(yes I will be doing my valve cover in wood grain for the haters)

Pieces still required:
Electric window swith panels(front and rear from another 87 camry)
Dome light base plate
Driver and passenger seat trim pieces and adjustment knobs
Door sills front and rear
Dash strip(the piece that goes across the passenger side of the dash)
Entire glove box interior
Inner glove box door tray
Vents from rear dash
Trunk sill
Rear ash tray
Seat rail rear trim pieces
Fuse box cover(engine bay location)

As you can see nothing is getting left out. It's going to be a very indepth interior transformation. The only roadblock I have come across is that I can't decide on a wood grain color to go with my dark blue interior. I'm thinking of going with a dark cherrywood because I think the slight redness of the wood makes a nice contrast in the interior. The other thought I had was a dark gray/grey wood grain that lexus uses in some of their interiors. There is a company called diptech that has a ton of different woodgrains to choose from but I can't decide.

Any suggestions from you guys on what type of wood you think will look good on a dark blue interior?

You want a wood grain fuse box?

And im not a hater, but a wood grain valve cover is just stupid imo.

I am going to also put wood grain on a few items in my engine bay. The valve cover and the fuse box are what I'll start with and if I feel it necessary I'll do a little more.

It may be stupid to you but it's still badass imo and that's why you will see pics soon enough.

I always thought wood grain looked shitty in cars with blue interiors. But probably the darker the better so it blends in with the blue a bit more. Maybe you should look into swapping a different interior.

I thought the purpose of wood trim kits were to give the illusion of real wood? Just don't try to convince anyone that your engine bay has real wood m'kay . Well to answer your question, I would say that the smoked or greyish colored wood would probably look best with blue interior as well as in the engine bay IMO. Post pics when completed.

Well, you seem to be dedicated and thorough in your approach (kudos), so I would recommend going an extra mile or so and swapping the interior over to grey. They blue sucks (I've had it in a Camry, a Corolla, and currently in my Celica). It's just ugly. Get a grey interior. Trust me on this one.

Damn dude you can't have that thing in there. It's gonna catch fire!!!
It looks good but I'm still not convinced. I'd much rather have a nice red shiny one than the wood grain.

Yea definitely. Smoked grayish or blackish would look the best in a blue interior. Still wouldn't look as good as in a black or tan interior though. Maybe he can repaint his interior with one of those special vinyl spray paints . As for the wood trim on the valve cover. I think that's just rice

nah I'm not going to do that. I've seen and fell inlove with the blue interiors of porsches so I'm keeping blue. I can't wait to get the seats leather wrapped and the interior pillars vynil wrapped! just for a little extra added ka pow. lol
